General Maintenance
Dust often and your furniture will help keep the shine from the end of the oil and lacquer. Use dry and soft cotton.
Use common sense, and not put things hot or wet on the wood and furniture. Use place mats and coasters to prevent damage, and clean up spills immediately. Can excessive exposure to sunlight for long periods or fade the color of furniture and dry wood. Use curtains or blinds to prevent direct exposure and furniture one day if you leave things such as candlesticks, vases or on the surface of a wooden covered, rotate them regularly to avoid dark or light spots.
As part of normal aging, and development of wooden furniture and beautiful appearance usually changes color, depending on the wood. Usually a dark cherry, while the walnut tends to reduce over time. Pine, oak and red alder tend to take a golden color as they age.
For the completion of the care of the furniture with oil and wax:
In addition to the dust in many cases, we recommend re-wax oil / wax from furniture paste wax once every six months to a year, depending on how accustomed furniture. We use a fine paste wax LIBERON, available wood supply stores. For tips on how to use paste wax, see "How to re-wax with paste wax" below.
Explanation of the oil and wax finish, you can also use the nutrients that enter the end, the completion of the list, and adds a layer of beeswax. Covers up minor scratches and removes all the accumulated grease, dust, dirt and filth. Use ending in zero re-Feeder East every time your furniture look dull. For tips on how to use the feeder end, see "Using the feeder end" below.
If the oil / wax from furniture is particularly dry (and not just boring), you may need to re-oil from the side. Re-lubrication is necessary to remove the existing wax, and apply oil producer such as linseed oil, and re-wax. For specific instructions, see "How to re-oil furniture" below.
Completion of care with lacquer furniture incentive:
As with furniture drunk, any dust to prolong brightness and lacquer furniture. To add luster and shine, use furniture polish your sure to remove the surplus.
When the furniture looks dirty and boring, and we recommend using the completion of the feeder clean and shine until the end. For tips on how to use the feeder end, see "Using the feeder end" below.
How to wax paste wax
We use a fine paste wax LIBERON, available wood supply stores. Be sure to follow the instructions provided with the wax you are using a particular product. Also consider the following tips:
In the preparation of the surface, and the use of steel wool, only super-fine grade # 0000, working always in the direction of grain of the wood.
After applying a coat of paste wax, and the use of Scotch Brite ultra-thin spread evenly. (And with the steel wool will leave the grain behind.) Using light pressure, in line to cover the surface with wax, and always work with the grain of the wood.
By allowing all of the wax, make sure not to exceed 20 minutes.
Use a clean super-fine Scotch Brite pad to remove excess wax, which works with some of the wood grain.
With a soft, lightly polish the surface until it feels smooth.
Using the feeder final
And will end Feeder helps to clarify both the oil / wax and lacquer finishes. Note that this product will not work on polyurethane finishes or plastic base. Application involves a few simple steps:
Apply finish offer a soft cotton cloth, or with ultra-fine grade steel wool # 0000, if the piece is very dirty or scratched. Allow nutrition to penetrate the surface finish of 10 to 15 minutes.
Not successfully remove the feeder and an end to excess surface becomes sticky, add more nutritious finishing dissolves sticky residue, soak for a few minutes and wipe dry completely.
Important Note safety: control of the oily rags with caution, and there is a danger of spontaneous combustion if stored correctly. Be sure to expand the flat oily rags, and let dry completely, and then be ignored or washed.
Return to Oil Furniture
Completion of the furniture with oil, wax, and probably will not need to re-qualify, but if stored in dry heat or cold, or in direct sunlight or other conditions of persistent drought. If the piece becomes too dry, follow the instructions below to re-grease.
Use mineral spirits or naphtha is applied with a clean cotton cloth to remove the existing wax. Clean the surface with water and soap oil, using only the liquid to wet the cloth, not wet. Allow surface to dry completely.
The use of ultra-fine grade steel wool # 0000 to prepare the surface, using light, even pressure and to work always with the grain of the wood.
Put a generous amount of oil to the surface. We use a combination of oil, 1/3 boiled linseed, tung oil, polyurethane and 1.3 the third base pure oil (a mixture is also used by Sam Maloof famous carpenter). Allow the oil to penetrate the wood for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Clear excess oil with a clean cotton cloth. To allow the furniture to set the newly qualify for at least 24 hours.
To prepare for the waxing, and cleaning the surface with ultra fine steel wool # 0000 on the degree. Carefully clean the surface with a soft cotton cloth to remove all dust and debris.
May if it still seems dry wood re-apply oil and repeat steps 3 through 5.
